Leslie began her career as a payroll clerk working for F. Raniville Company/Ton Tex Corporation. The original location was along the Grand River on Pearl Street, where the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel tower now stands. She made a move to Leon Plastics and began working in the Human Resource department (then called Personnel). She earned her Bachelors’ Degree from Spring Arbor University and Masters from Western Michigan University while working full time. Both universities have extensions in Grand Rapids. She began working for EAC as Director of Business Development in 1992. From 2003 until she returned to EAC in 2012, she taught at Davenport University and was a Director for Business Network International (BNI) where she learned about networking and referral marketing as well as many human resource related projects for a variety of customers. Leslie is a life long learner with a passion for developing people and recently received her certification in Workplace Conflict Resolution through the Thera Rising Institute.
Leslie and her husband have a grown daughter who lives in Grand Rapids. When she isn’t at EAC, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband at their travel trailer that doesn’t travel (they have seasonal site at a West Michigan campground).
