As we wrap up the month of October and enter the holiday season, we can often get caught up in the busyness of life. It can be hard to slow down. My last two posts talk about how to stop worrying and stay in the moment. Here are some of my favorite quotes to think about and center yourself. You might consider writing one or two of your favorites. I’d encourage you to post them where they are visible.
- “Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day of the year. He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety. Finish every day and be done with it.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
- “Give every day the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life.” Mark Twain
- “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” Marcus Aurelius
- “Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, ‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.” Hāfiz (Persian poet)
