The Key to Dealing with People You Can’t Stand

Maybe it’s your boss, your neighbor, your coworker or your mother-in-law. We all have someone in our lives whom we wish we didn’t have to interact with ever again. No matter whom this person is, the key to dealing with them is to decide how important the relationship is to you. Ask yourself, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the most important), how important is this person to you? If you rank the person between 7 and 10, your approach will be different then someone who is between 1 and 6. If the person you can’t stand ranks 10, it is important that you take steps to solve the relationship problem. If they rank 6 or below, forget about it! Don’t let them take up any space in your brain. Retrain your brain to focus on something else when the image of this person surfaces in your mind. Anyone who ranks 6 or above, needs a plan of action; let us help you develop one. Call us to schedule an appointment.
